I think it was fate that brought my husband and I to Roosky Cottage. Paul is from Ireland, I am from the U.S. Paul always longed to move back to Ireland, so we made plans to retire there. We traveled back to the area where he spent most of his summers as a child fishing for trout, the village of Rossinver and Lough (lake) Melvin. While strolling in Bundoran, we saw a photo of Roosky Cottage in a real estate office. It drew us in. It reminded us of what my great grandfather's cottage near Sligo may have looked like.

We took off to view the cottage for ourselves, walked down the country laneway, saw the lake and the beautifully restored dwelling, and knew it was meant for us. As if to confirm our decision, the day we moved in to the house a soaring double rainbow emerged out of the waters of Lough Melvin and rose to the opposite shore. I think our ancestors approved! We think you will too! Now we invite you to partake in the Roosky Cottage experience as well.
